What We Do

Everyone is welcome to be a part of our Congregation!

We have family Church Services, social, Bible Study and small group activities running on a regular basis. Find the group that suits you below.

Worship Service

Bringing people of all ages together, our Sunday morning service includes traditional and contemporary music, with a variety of Preachers and Contributors.  All people are welcome to this friendly weekly service and in joining us in sharing morning tea, conversation and a sense of community directly after the service.

When:  9:30am-10:30am every Sunday

Morning tea: From 10:30am every Sunday after worship service at the Philip Norman Hall

Communion Service:  1st Sunday of every month.

 

All people are welcome to be a part of our worship service, to share in communion, and to be a part of the wider faith community.  

Pasifika

Islander Worship Service, run by local Islanders,

incorporating Islander music group.

All welcome to join contemporary service

including meal and fellowship afterwards.

Open Door

Open Door meets each Tuesday from 10am for coffee and Fellowship in the Raward Room. Come when you can and leave when you want.

Adult Fellowship

A time to get together and socialise, have informal discussions and work together assisting the fundraising efforts of the local and wider church. If you’d like to nourish your spiritual life, or help others, please come and share in this relaxed fellowship.

English Language Group

Apart from meeting new people and learning conversational English, our English Language Group also aims to shares Aussie culture and experiences in the community together.


This free group meets Saturdays 2-4pm in the Raward Room.

Bible Study Groups

Bible Study Groups are a wonderful way to learn more about God, to strengthen friendships with other believers and to support one another in small, inclusive groups.  Scone Uniting Church provides an opportunity for people to participate in small bible study group.

Mondays 1pm – 2:30pm, Raward Room.

Our Ministry in the local Community

Upper Hunter Christian Education Association

Formed in 2013 by the amalgamation of Muswellbrook and Scone Christian Education Associations. An ecumenical organisation with representatives of most local Christian churches. This organisation funds the employment of a local Special Religious Education Teacher. UHCEA works with Generate Ministries to make this happen in terms of curriculum resources, staff training etc. Scone High commenced SRE classes in 2008. Davinder Garbyal is the current local SRE teacher, working 1 day/week at Scone High and 2 days/week at Muswellbrook High.

Vision Christian Radio 

Since 2015, Scone Uniting Church has been a relay station for Australian Vision Christian Radio broadcasting to Scone on 87.6FM. It is a low powered station with a coverage of approximately 5km radius. The next relay stations are currently at Murrurundi and Singleton both on 88.0FM. 

 

The Vision Christian Radio story is amazing. Since it first broadcast in Queensland in 1999, their growth has been a phenomenal testimony of God’s provision. Today Vision Christian Radio now has over 720 FM and AM relay stations nationwide covering major cities through to outback towns. Each day they broadcast great music, interesting and engaging conversations, talkback, encouraging real life stories, Biblical perspectives on life, culture and current events, news and so much more – including solidly Biblical programmes from esteemed speakers such as Charles Stanley, Jeff Vines, Chuck Missler, Greg Laurie and many more.

Hammond Care Scone

Providing alternate monthly Religious Services for Strathearn House (Gundy Road) and Strathearn Village (Stafford Street) as well as regular visitations.
